There are various types of children’s toys. Each type of toy encourages a certain type of play and learning. There are specific types of toys for different age groups and interests.

Some of the most basic types of children’s toys are play sets. Play sets offer a child an opportunity to create and imagine a different type of world. There are play sets for different time periods, animals and people.

Other popular children’s toys are games. Games help children to learn many different types of skills. These skills include: cause and effect, patterns, colors, numbers and language skills.
